Historic Sites and Museums Create Podcasts to Educate Tourists

Colonial Williamsburg is one of many tourist attractions which have resorted to adding podcasts to their website to enhance a tourists experience, and also to hope attract more interest.

Podcast audio tours is a growing trend that has replaced the need for real tour guides and set schedules. A potential tourist can just download the pitchstone to their iPod, put it in it's iPod case, and follow the audio tour and around such places like the the Smithsonian Institution, Colonian Williamsburg, and historical landmarks. Some institutions have gone as far as adding video to their tours to watch on the new video iPod, these have come to be called "vodcasts".

People are finding more and more uses for the the iPod with each day that passes. One can only imagine what the next great idea is waiting around the corner for the iPod.
