The Perfect MP3 player?
Rumors are swirling that Apple will be introducing a second generation iPod Video this September. Some of the features that are being whispered about include a touch screen (like the iPhone) and a widescreen to capture the theatrical aspect of films. These are nice, but we have out own suggestions on what would make the Video iPod even better.
Wireless connectivity- How great would it be to download a song from Itunes without having to go to your computer!
Camera- It would be great to be able to snap and view pictures with your iPod. Camera phones are everywhere, how long until they show up on music players?
Easier connectivity with TiVo- Right now the only way to download shows from your TiVo to your Ipod is by first putting them on your computer, with TiVo to go, and then converting them to a MPEG4 file and finally transferring them. If they could find a way to transfer shows in one step instead of three it would make both products perfect. Not to mention that TiVo to go currently doesn't work on Mac computers so the most loyal Apple fans can't transfer shows at all.

Always something new to release to consumers. They are always looking to improve on their products so they can release new versions. It seems like we are being introduced to new products or product versions every other month.
This coming release is probably for those that like the features of the iPhone but don't want the phone. They are just implementing the iPhone technology into the iPod like they implemented the iPod technology into the iPhone.
I don't use my ipod to do anything other than listen to music, but I can imagine that for people who do, your suggestions will hit a chord. The idea of a touch screen appeals to me, and I see your point of having everything combined into one. However, you'd probably be loosing out on quality somewhere if you did. Surely a phone is the best thing to make a call on, a camera is the best thing to take a picture with etc etc...
