I think pretty well anybody who listens to music, should have an iPod of some sorts. I would be surprised if I ever heard anyone say “What’s an iPod?”
I would personally recommend the iPod shuffle, 1 GB player. It’s fantastic for just about anything and it’s small so it can clip on pretty well anywhere. I use mine mostly while I’m at the gym, but you can use it for jogging, running, while you’re at work and pretty well anything else. The best part though it is fairly cheap and won’t run your wallet into the ground!
I've borrowed my boyfriends ipod shuffle before, but I much prefer my nano. It's not much bigger than the shuffle, but has at least twice the memory, and the added benefit that you can switch between shuffle mode and normal, so you can listen to albums and playlists if you prefer. I know they're more money, but they do offer more features.
iPod rocks. I know there are load of other MP3 players out there in the market but to me they are truly second class hardware compared to the wonders created by Steve Jobs and his crew
