For everyone who has ever desired the compactness of an iPod shuffle, but the color display and user-friendly control of a regular iPod, Apple has just released a new product that may be just what you've been looking for.  The new iPod nano may be small, but it is one giant leap in the trend towards ultra minturization.  It is no thicker than a pencil, but this little gizmo can store 2GB or 4GB of songs, for up to three days of songs. 

The iPod nano comes with a powerful battery that can play for 14 continuous hours before requiring a recharge.  Like the classic iPod we all know and love, the iPod nano has a full color display for menus, album art and even your personal photos.  It works seamlessly with iTunes, and best of all for us, the iPod nano works with a wide selection of stylish and sophisticated iPod accessories.

The iPod nano is about 3.5 inches tall, 1.6 inches wide and 0.27 inches thick and weighs about 1.5 ounces.  The iPod nano features a click wheel with a significantly larger (relatively speaking, of course) center button.  It seems clear that the iPod nano will displace the iPod mini with its comparable storage at a much reduced size.  But iPod mini users should rest assured that we will still be supplying all the accessories they need to outfit their iPod minis, for as long as they last!

One nice option of the iPod nano is that it comes in black or white.  The color display also has an inverse mode, which allows you to read the screen clearly even at night or in a dark room.
